Couple of Interesting Tucker Pictures

Postby Tuckerfan1053 » Mon Jan 30, 2006 2:17 am

I've never seen either of these before, and thought that other folks might find them interesting. The first is of a car swap meet at the Tucker plant (you can see the word "ucker" on the top of the building). http://www.marindirect.com/carclub/ It's about midway down the page.

The second is of a pinewood derby car that a kid made to look like a Tucker. http://www.saveourtreehouse.com/SaveOur ... _derby.htm

Top shot is the movie set. Remember in the movie they are moving the "T" into position.

That Pinewood Derby car is cool. I made a similar thing back in 8th grade but it was a CO2 car where you put a CO2 cartridge in the back and it ran off the thrust of that.

Here's some photos of 1003 as she's being restored:

And here's an article in the local paper (they're going to automatically pull it from their site in about a week) on the car, with an interview with the son of the gentleman who bought the Tucker dealer rights for Nashville.

What picture is it and where can I find the picture of the Tucker in the Garage I saw it on this site and have been searching for about an hour but cant find it. It seemed in bad shape and if I remember right there was a silver or gray Tucker with it.

Thank You ace thats it. Take a look at these Tucker pics oldcarandtruckpictures.com scroll down and you will find the Tucker a very detailed Green Tucker with lots of close ups. I was wondering if there was ever a Tucker in Grandprairie Texas my friend said there was one on his street he remembers seeing Tucker written on the back is this true or just wishful thinking?

I believe that's the one that i've been told is now in tallahassee, fl. It's number 5. I saw it myself in Colorado in the late 80s.

The blue car on oldcarandtruckpictures.com is Gilmore's 1047. The green one is 1006, which is now in California.
